Wooden Shjips: Contact
Part.1 of Neoloop's Contact triplicate:
This is Wooden Shjips version of the late great Serge Gainsbourg's Contact, Serge's 1967 version featured the beautiful Brigitte Bardot. San Francisco's Wooden Shjips take the tune on stoner rock, trance-inducing psychedelic journey, extending it into an epic 8.23 minutes and stripping it back to the bare essentials. Taken from the bands Vol. 2 LP, the second compilation of hard-to-find Wooden Shjips tracks made up of the band's Sub Pop and Mexican Summer singles and other rare tracks.
